To set up your course

Reuse previous content

1. Import content from another Canvas course
2. Update Canvas to show a page as the Homepage
3. Assign your intended page as the Homepage
4. Follow the Reuse Content steps to make sure everything is ready to go! 

Create new content

1. Edit this Home Page.
   • State the course number and all section numbers, and include an image (Links to an external site.) (.png, .jpeg, .gif files, ~ 850 x 190 pixels). (Links to an external site.)
2. In the Syllabus tool, enter your course syllabus info and/or link to a pdf file (Links to an external site.) at the top
   • Consider using the CSU syllabus template.
     
3. Organize content in Modules, by week or topic.
   
   • Create a “Course Information” module at top. Include a "Start Here" page with contact info, textbook list, your essential get started info, and link to CSU's Syllabus Resources and Policies.
   • In each Module you can include a Page (Links to an external site.) for “Learning Objectives" and “Read, Watch, & More”, before adding links to Assignments, Discussions, external websites, and other items.
4. Make your course accessible and inclusive for all students
   • Check and fix with the UDOIT tool.
